Projects and folders - Privileges

The permissions condition access to the system functionality for users. They are closely related to the user's roles in the project or task. The whole is defined by the project manager (Management - Permissions). Permissions are defined separately for tasks and sub-tasks. For tasks we can distinguish the following permissions:

  • Change of priority - allows to change the priority of the task.
  • Change of status - this permission determines whether the user can change the status for the task.
    Important!
Apart from the permission itself, workflow settings are also important here. If the permission says that a user can change the status and the workflow does not result in any transition, then in total we cannot change the status.
  • Change of execution date - the authorization allows to change the date of execution of the task.
    Important!
Regardless of this privilege, each user can initially set a deadline when creating a task.
  • Add subtask - thanks to this permission user can add subtasks to a task.
  • Changing the orderer - this authorization allows to change the orderer (author) of the task. This functionality is sometimes useful in case of e.g. deleting a given user.
  • Job deletion - the ability to delete a job.
  • Management of related projects - this permission determines whether a given user will be able to add/delete relations between the task and projects.
  • Management of related tasks - thanks to this permission the user has the ability to add/delete links between tasks.
  • Manage observers - this permission allows you to add/delete observers to a task.
  • Change name or description - this permission allows to change the name or description of the task after its creation.
  • Changing the value of additional fields - if the task has been created using a task template that has additional fields, then thanks to this permission the user will be able to change the value of these fields.
  • Change of contractor (task without subtasks) - this permission allows changing the contractor for a task that has no subtasks.
  • Change of visibility - this permission allows to change the visibility of the task from private to public and vice versa.
  • Tag management - thanks to this permission the user can add/delete tags in a task.

In case of sub-tasks, the list of permissions is as follows:

  • Change of the execution date - thanks to this authorization the user has the possibility to change the execution date of a subtask. In case of adding subtasks the user can set an initial deadline regardless of this permission.
  • Zmiana statusu – to uprawnienie warunkuje, czy dany użytkownik może zmienić status podzadania.
    Important!
In addition to the permission itself, workflow settings are also important here. If the permission says that a user can change the status and the workflow does not result in any transition, then in total we cannot change the status.
  • Replacement of a subtask contractor - this permission allows to change the contractor for a subtask.
    Important!
In case of adding a subtask, this permission determines whether a given user will be able to select a group of users or a particular user from the list. The permissions for a new subtask in this task are checked here when the subtask has the status To Assign.
  • Execution time management - thanks to this permission, the user is able to manage execution time for this sub-task. You can find more details about it in Tasks - Work Time section.
  • Change name or description - this permission allows you to change the name or description of a subtask after its creation.
  • Deletion - this permission allows you to delete subtasks.
  • Relationship management - thanks to this permission we can define relations between subtasks. For more details, see Tasks - Subtask Dependencies section.
