Management - predefined fields

In this section we can define predefined fields. They serve as additional fields in the task templates with the difference that once defined, a field can be used in many task templates.

  • Edit - opens a window with the possibility of editing a predefined field. All its fields are exactly the same as in the case of additional fields defined in the task templates, so their description can be found in the section Manage - Task templates.

  • Mark as Delete/Remove - with these options we can change the status of the predefined field. Inactive fields cannot be selected when creating additional fields in task templates.

Example
Predefined fields are very useful when you have a large number of options for checkboxes to define. There is no need to duplicate these options between task templates. It is much easier to control the consistency of data.

Important! In case of reports and option Additional fields, only those additional fields that are entered as predefined fields will be added to the generated file. This is another argument for using the predefined fields as often as possible. You can find more information about this in the Tasks -  Report section.
